Zaiden usually hates wearing hats. For some reason he didn’t mind wearing this one. He didn’t keep it on long. Daddy was able to get this picture on the car ride to the mall to see Santa.

Yesterday Zaiden and Daddy drove by the new park. We were in a hurry so we couldn’t stop. It was
time for a shower. Daddy promised Zaiden that we would go tomorrow. It was the Grand Opening of the new neighborhood park. Two months ago they tore down Zaiden’s favorite place. I couldn’t understand why in the middle of summer they would decide to rebuild the neighborhood park. Everyday we would avoid that area because Zaiden would say Park, Swing or Slide as we passed the barron ground that he once enjoyed so much. Well I can definately say it was worth the wait. The park has two distinct play areas. One for older kids 5+. And another just for kids Zaiden’s age. He couldn’t get enough. Daddy had a hard time keeping up with him. He was running up the stairs and sliding down the other side. A few minutes after we arrived Mommy and sister Sierra met us. We all had a great time discovering the new park. I’ll describe it in Zaiden words; “AWESOME”. Daddy, Mommy and Sierra were all wondering how we would coax him to leave his new favorite place. Daddy saw the opportunity. Mommy said he was a “sweaty mess”. It must have been all that running, swinging and sliding. Daddy had a juice drink already to go. As Zaiden chugged down his drink. Daddy loaded him in the wagon that Aunt Nina bought for his xmas, and within 2 minutes we were around the corner half way home. Great distraction, right. Sorry no pictures at his new favorite place. Daddy forgot his iphone. I’ll post this picture from a couple of weeks ago. Here is Zaiden using a big boy cup at our favorite weekend breakfast restaurant. Can you guess where he is? There are clues in the picture.

Here are a couple of pictures we took over the labor day long weekend. It was a busy weekend. Grandma was visiting from Iowa. We visited Nana and papaw in Indiana. Zaiden got his very first lawnmower. Don’t worry it doesn’t cut grass just makes bubbles. Oh and I almost forgot. It only took 8 haircuts with kicking & screaming before Zaiden finally didn’t mind it so much.
We also had a cookout with Shellie Heidi Steven and Becca. Wow that was a long weekend. We did so much I probably forgot half. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures.

This past Sunday when grandma was visiting from Iowa Zaiden want to wear her glasses. Almost immediately we all noticed the resemblance to the kid in the movie Jerry Maguire. Look out Hollywood, Zaiden is coming. Don’t worry we are not packing our bags yet. I think we have a cute kid, I hope all of you agree.

This sound bite was from two weeks ago when we went to see Thomas the Train. If I remember right, mom was still at work. Zaiden and I were getting ready to leave. Mom always does ABC’s with Zaiden. Dad thought he would give it a try. Click the button below and you’ll be amazed. Remember our kid is ony 20 months old. Now if I could just get him to juggle, we would be ready for the circus.

Sorry no pictures in this post. Thanks to mommy who has be posting updates. This morning while Zaiden and daddy were waiting for the rest of the family to get ready for work and school, our little man decided to show off his skills. We tell people that he can count to 13 but most don’t believe us. Here is Zaiden counting. If you listen real close in the background you can here Mickey Mouse Playhouse. Mickey tells everyone to count to 15 and Zaiden immediately starts counting. He gets a little stuck on 11. And he really likes 13. But give it a listen. I’m sure you’ll love Zaidens cute voice.

Little man Zaiden woke up sometime durning the night, so Daddy went to get him and he slept with us. Dad figured it out, Mom was making Zaiden a popsicle! (Hey I get hot at night-sorry Dad & Zaiden). Dad was a popsicle too! So about 5am Zaiden, in his cute little Zaiden voice, starts calling…’Daddy?’ ‘Mommy?’ We are both right there. We tell him to lay down, night-night time. So then he starts calling for Charley…..that’s Marley to us, like the dog is gonna help him out. Its been a long day already……and its only 6:20am!
Ugh……
Here’s Zaiden trying to put his show on at O’dark hundred (6am)

Zaiden is all decked out in his Bears gear today. Here he is relaxing outside before the big game tonight. As everyone knows, Dad is the biggest Bears fan around! He cut his finger once and his blood was orange and blue!!! True story!!
Zaiden will get to watch some of the game ….it starts right before bath time and Zaiden didn’t have such a good nap today so I’m sure he’s gonna be tired tonight. And he got new Thomas pj’s today. If he’s not too crabby, I’ll try to get a picture.
Signing off for now…..GO BEARS!!

My original plan was to show a before and after. However the after was so bad. This picture of Zaiden was early in the morning before he went to Rocky’s. After a couple of snacks, lunch and dinner the after picture was unrecognizable. So let’s stick with the before picture. Zaiden is so cute.
