Today was my first encounter with the PEE BANDIT. Zaiden thought it was funny. I didn’t actually get hit with the geyser but it definately was a eye opener. I’m aware of the risk every day, but I must endure. After the eruption, Zaiden got a quick hand bath and stripped down to his empty diaper and bib. That’s how we did breakfast. Zaiden in his birthday suite with a bib. No pictures were taken to commemorate the occasion. I think its best to forget this morning. Oops, can’t forget about it now. It’s on the internet. Oh well.

The last couple of days have mostly been routine for Zaiden. Mom, Dad & Sister have all been working with him on rolling over. He has no problem with back to front. He is not however going front to back. We have also been working with him on sitting up. Zaiden has a big vacation coming up and he needs to be ready to sit up to see all the sights and people. He really is a people watcher. He especially likes when people are reallying into a converstation. You catch him staring at them amazed and wishing he could join in.
I have been working on the Gallery. It’s not up and running yet. I got new software installed so I can orgainize all the pictures. I need a little more time. I will let you all know when it’s running.

Zaiden traveled to Indiana today to visit Nana and Papaw. He also got to see his cousins Baby Michael and Natalia. We missed seeing his other cousins, Jeffrey, Alexis & Katie. Uncle Michael and Aunt Tila are on their way over. We will have to wait until 4th of July to see Aunt Nina and Uncle Jeff. They did leave some school pictures. Thanks and I promise to get the gallery up and running so you can all download pictures of Zaiden.
Some other exciting news. Nana & Papaw got to see Zaiden’s # 2 face. For those who know him the best he makes a distinct face when “he’s busy”.

Sorry for the late update. We got big news. Yesterday, Zaiden woke me up a little after 6am. I was startled to find Zaiden had turned over in his crib. He was lying on his stomach clinching his blanket. I went from drowsy to instantly awake. I woke up mommy for this milestone. We are going to have to make some adjustments. The next thing we know he’ll be sitting up in his crib. I took some pictures on my phone. I’ll upload them later.
Later that day, Zaiden said bye to his grandma from Iowa. As the train pulled away from the station, we ran along side and waived goodby. Grandma even said she would come back out and visit. I will also post some pictures of Zaiden and Grandma.

Oh yeah, on my way to pick up grandma from the train station I stopped by the government building and picked up Zaiden’s birth certificate. We also got two wallet copies for mom and dad to hold on to. It’s official now, he’s ours and we can’t return him. Just kidding, we all love him very much and between you and me he’s a pretty good boy.

Today Zaiden got a surprise visitor from Iowa. Grandma traveled on the train for almost 5 hours to visit. The visit was kept a secret so she could suprise sister Sierra. However the train was very late and Sierra was already home.
Mom went to the doctor today and is very sick. Probably got a little taste of the flu. Therefore Grandma, sister and dad all kicked in to let mom rest. Dad also executed his first solo bath, bottle and sleep routine. I wouldn’t call it a perfect 10 (with all the enthusiasm as the dancing with the stars judges) but i managed. I think a lot had to do with our good friends Mr. Baby Tylenol and Mrs. Baby Orajel. Zaiden’s definately teething and running a little on the warm side. I forgot to mention that while chewing on mom’s t-shirt yesterday he left a little blood.
Anyway, we have a big couple of days. Lots of people to visit. Nana in Indiana is organizing a memorial day cookout. We’ve got Aunts, Uncles and plenty of cousins to visit this weekend.
On a side note I added a gallery page. It’s not up and running for everyone to see. My plan is to get all of sisters’ pictures and upload them to the site. I also added a people page. I want to get pictures of all the friends and family members so you can truly see how many people really love Zaiden.

Remember yesterday, Mom bought Zaiden some crocks from Target. Check out the picture for some fancy footwork. I think he’s trying to do the moonwalk. Go Zaiden Go!!!

No news from Zaiden. The bigest event this morning is that he was up at 5:30am and played with his feet. The good part of the news is that he decided to keep quiet and let mom and dad sleep until the alarm. Mom instructed Dad to dress him in the “tell all” t-shirt. This was for the benefit of Rocky, but she has not yet gotten the joke. No phone calls to mom asking about it’s meaning. Perhaps when Mom picks Zaiden up, Rocky will have some interesting questions.
Oh ya, the website got an update. You all have your first picture of Zaiden on the header. Sorry, I’m still learning how to modify the site.
I hope to be an expert by the time we go on vacation. Maybe I will include nightly podcasts.

On the way home from work Terri stopped by Target and found some baby crocks for Zaiden. He managed to keep them on his feet long enouth to take a picture. (I’ll post it later). After cereal and a bottle we were off. First to Kappy’s where the manager told us to take our regular seat in the back. (We must go there too often). Two salads for Mom & Dad. Zaiden got a little crabby. Terri thinks he is warm and his cheeks are rosy. We played with the elephant rattle while mom finished her salad. (She wins the slowest eater contest). Then we were off to the Babies R Us looking for a specific bib. For those of you in the know, you know what it says. We couldn’t find a bib and the only news breaker was a t-shirt. However the smallest they had was a 3-T. Zaiden’s big for his age but not that big. We got it anyway along with some Baby Einstein DVDS that were buy one get one 50% off.
The teller recongnized us and said we come there way too often. She even joked if we had any coupons. Yes, I’m sad to say dad is the coupon king. This baby stuff is expensive.
Terri is doing her usual bath and bottle. Zaiden will probaby sleep through the night. (with a little help from baby tylenol, remember rosy cheeks and a little warm). Good night, sleep tight.

Zaiden’s night was uneventful. I didn’t hear a peep. Terri probably woke up several times to check on him. In the morning he’s usually up and waiting. However; this morning he was sound asleep until I woke him at 6am. After the usual diaper change and stretching contest we settled on the bed for breakfast. He decided he was not hungry and left 3 oz. in the bottle. I decided to get dressed while he laid on the bed and laughed at the TV. Terri decided to see if he was hungry, after I took over I burbed him and he spewed practically the entire bottle on my chest. I called for help and was relieved by big sister Sierra so I could was the spew from my chest. It didn’t bother him. He continued to laugh.
A quick dress in his favorite jeans and it was off to Rocky’s.
